We demand full transparency when leaders are considering agreements over Data Centers. 

Our team is constantly researching the host of issues involved so we can lead with intimate understanding as we’re fighting these data centers all over the district from Wise, Wythe, Botetourt, and beyond.

As a software engineer, I have a unique skill set to be able to understand this issue, there needs to be Federal Requirement passed via legislation:

1. Data centers need to pay for 100% of costs of infrastructure, including power, gas, fiber, etc

2. Have citizen involvement in any dialogue well before starting on any development

3. Well regulated sound, air, and water quality limits with independent environmental studies to determine risk. 
   

No local governments should be forced into NDAs. Period. Communities need to be fully aware of the impact of having a data center in their region, whether that involves job loss, or environmental impacts; the whole picture must be made transparent before breaking ground.
